    Difference between A05A & A03A chassis

    Hi guys!

I've been doing research in the suspension department and I've come across the difference in chassis codes

    A03A
    - 1.0 engine
    - Japan release

    A05A
    - 1.2 engine
    - Thailand, Philippines release

I inquired with Tein regarding their coilover kit, if the A03A set would fit the A05A. They couldn't give me an answer

feel free to add and edit to the list

From my reading that is the case as well. I doubt they changed the suspension for such a small change in engine displacement.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

maybe or maybe not, the previous mirage, the CK4A and CJ4A had the exact same suspension, but the lancer evo CN9A which basically had the same chassis and suspension setup had an angled rear shock mount compared to the CK4A / CJ4A

I know someone who lives in Japan. If we got him to contact a Mitsu dealership there, could we cross check a part number against the Philippines part? What would be the best part to check?

good plan sir Metro! i'll ask for the front and rear shock absorber part number, if they're the same, then it's all good

OK - done. I've asked my friend if he'll ring up a dealership and get the Japanese part numbers for the F/R shocks. Hopefully he comes through for us.

Thanks for the update, Cheezy. I reminded my friend 3x to call his local Japan Mitsu dealer and he keeps forgetting.
