    Transmission is getting loose

I feel like my 3rd gear in my Space Star is becomming a lot looser than all other gears in the transmission, has your mirage the same problem? It is a 1.2 L 5mt european version.

What do you mean by 3rd gear loose?

Is it that the shift lever loose in third gear?

Does it go in and out of third gear easier than the rest of the gears?

Is it that once in third gear and you accelerate-decelerate there is is a slop in the drivetrain like excessive gear lash?

I have no problem with mine but now I'm curious what exactly the concern is.

Yes correct it goes into 3rd gear way to easier than rest of the gears also I am saying this because when the car was new it was not as easy to engage as it is now. Thanks for the reply though

Sounds like your transmission is just breaking in. Mine did the same thing. It was a bit notchy and balky until it had a few thousand miles on it.

I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Sounds like you spend alot of time in 3rd dear. On our after 1000mi 5th was really smooth and 2, 3 were still tight.

mine does the same, unlike before. i also noticed that its easy to shift to 3rd rather than the 2nd and on 5th. but on 5th id say i seldom shift to 5th gear hehe.

    Hi Eggman

    Thanks for asking

Third is loose. All the other gears are also becoming more loose. When the transmission is warm I can shift all gears smoothly, but third still beats them all XD. Currently the car has drove 16031 km. When sommer begins this car's clock will rise very fast . Continue good day Eggman, and everyone else
