I have regularly run as low an RPM as practical , based on load. Being careful not to "lug" of course.
At 28K I began to get a subtle but noticeable rumble at right about 2000 revs and slightly higher, not related to load.
I have also been experiencing a rumble from the chassis (likely the tires).
I've separated the two by coasting.
I'm avoiding extended 2000-2100 operation while I ponder this.

Reminds me of a noisy exhaust.

If you were nearby I'd take you for a ride, If you're a Mirage driver you'd notice it quick.
Could be a vibration starting in the exhaust system, but it's something you feel and can't really hear.
I've also got a clutch judder that I've had since day one, the first thing that came to mind is that the flywheel is getting ready to fall off the crank flange. But that's just my mind creating nonsense.
I have to admit, it is very disheartening. I'm very familiar with mechanical things, and this situation intuitively bothers me.
Hopefully, as is often the case, it's somethin' really stupid / simple.
I'd read somewhere that the motor mounts had been revised on the 15's, and this could certainly effect vibrations and also the tendency for a clutch judder. I'll keep pondering.

why will you avoid 2000 rpm when this is where the engine works perfectly ?

Because oranges have arm holes, and it's hot in the summer and cool in the country.

Building on your comment. Did you ride to work, or bring your lunch?

Spewed my morning coffee on that one....
Ahhh....being that it runs perfectly at 2000rpm, I suppose that bringing my lunch IS a bit risky.
Same pants, different canary I guess.

Because of this, I love CVT. It has always perfect ratio in every situation.
