Wheel Shake (New Rims & Tires)

Okay so, I bought some 16x7 4x100 rims for my mirage and also got tires (195/45/16). After the install they balanced the tires multiple times and added hub centric rings (56.1mm / 73.1mm). Well I'm still getting wheel shake at around 50-65mph and noticeable around sharp turns the wheel shakes. I decided to go to another tire shop, so at the moment I'm sitting at NTB getting another balance and also adding alightment to hope this resolve my issue. If you have suggestions let me know please thanks!

Are the wheels well centered on the hub when tightened down? Are all lug nuts properly tightened?

It's a stretch, but you might be able to tell by giving the wheel a spin while it's up on the rack if it's not centered while mounted on the vehicle. You mentioned that professionals have tried balancing several times and you still have problems, so maybe it's not a balance problem?? I don't know - maybe some other experts here can give you better guidance.

Good luck, let us know what they find.

Check the run out on the rear wheels, with them barely off the ground spin each one by hand a see if it is round or something else.
Put the best ones on front and see if there is any difference. If it's shaking bad have someone follow you and check each wheel while you make it shake.

    Tire not mounted properly.
    Defective not round tire.
    Rim not centered properly.

    regards

I had this problem on another vehicle. It took two replacements to get proper balance. A rim that is gravity cast can have issues. Low pressure casting, high pressure casting or forged will usually deliver better tolerances.

Good to hear, glad it wasn't a rim out of round

Thanks for the update. Did the tech have any insight into what might have caused this? Sounds like a not-so-professional balance from the first shop.

The first shop put one huge ass weight on my rims which did no good at high speeds but after the second shop did it. They put them in diff places. Which worked for me
