Picked up my ES using Mitsubishi's big rebates. The fuel economy gauge registered 41 mpg toward the end of the ride home from the dealership - the TPMS light was on the whole time. I aired the tires up to clear the trouble light.

Looking forward to enjoying the premium fuel economy of this car. Thanks to everyone in this community for their insight.

I'll get some pictures up soon!

Wohoo! Hard to say no with these rebates, eh?

I doubt Mitsubishi is still manufacturing the '15s, so what's available is likely just what's on the lots right now.

Get 'em while you can, folks!

In my area, there weren't many ESs left with manual transmission. I'm glad I got one.

It was nice to negotiate a deal. I went with Sunnyside primarily because their sales staff were very upfront with pricing. I had to negotiate with other dealers over the price using Sunnyside as my example. One other dealer would meet their price, but the process was frustrating.

In the end, it's all good. I got what I liked before someone else got it, and didn't overpay.

Now I get to learn my new car. Thanks to this forum, I have a pretty good head start.

    Congrats with your new Mirage!
But tell me.. Did the TMPS light up all the way? Are you sure that they not sold you wheels without the TPMS sensor in?
My winter tyres did not have the TPMS sensor in them, i first got to know it when i put them on, but i does not bother me i check the air in the tires almost each 14 days sometimes even more..

I added air to the tires when I got home and the TPMS light soon went off, so the sensors are working fine. Good to know.

I have followed the local dealer inventory for the past six months, and even took this car for a test drive last year. All this indicates it has simply sat on their lot for a long time and nobody checked the air pressure in the tires. Easy to fix.

Now I'll have to visit Laceygirl's garage page for ideas on modifications.

Thankfully my Mirage seemed to be tracking straight on the ride home. I asked for documentation of the alignment, but my salesman assured me everything has already been checked, and reminded me that all adjustments are covered for the first 12 months.

I still feel I need to have the alignment numbers documented. Can any Mitsubishi techs here give me some guidance on how to proceed?

    Hi eggman,

Congrats! I didnt know you where looking to buy. Glad you scored a good deal.

Yes I am also aware of the alignment stuff so I am going to keep my eye on it and after about 9 months I will look into it and see (to make sure I am still covered by the 12 month warranty in case I need to file a claim)

Is it ALL the 2015 mirages that have a bad rear axle or just some?
