Quaker State and Pennzoil also have rebates . http://www.quakerstate.com/promotions-national-rebate http://www.pennzoil.com/promotions/ . Go here for motor oil testing , http://www.pqiamerica.com/ . We use Pennzoil Platinum Pure Plus 0w-20 in the '11 FIT .

According to my Mitsubishi agent the guarantee is 5 years 0r 100000 kms or 20k a year the service is once a year irrespective of mileage once it has done 100k then the guarantee is finished .I would of course change the oil every year but it will probably last the cars lifetime the way I use it I doubt if it will have 20k kms in five years.

down on 15k km in 1.5 years. I drive the car gently, so neither me I doubt about the engine breaking down

Welcome , hope my math is o.k.. Plan to get A.F.E. 0w-20 and Platinum w/ Pure Plus 0w-20 . Thinking of a Mobil 1 Extended M-110 for both cars and possibly go little under 10,000 miles . Currently using Honda A0-2 for both . Never use any addition oil after O.C. for both .

I am sure it could go 10k miles with no problem but I will continue to change at 7500 miles (dont want to risk voiding my powertrain warranty, they could deny a claim based on 10k miles oil change intervals)

At least its not as bad as the Nissan Versa with the 5k mile intervals

When I bought the car new last week the dealer told me it had been sitting on their lot for over 1 year. Does that mean I should change the oil (even though it only has 160 miles and came with Full SYnthetic from the factory?)

The Americans and oil changes it must be cheap to change the oil most modern engine oils will do 100k without any bother so if you change at 25k your still well in and still lining the pockets of the oil companies.
