I cant say it was for sure because of the Mirage small size because this used to happen with me on other cars as well. I think those little blind spot mirrors should be mandatory by law

This car teaches you to drive with hyper vigilance which is a good thing. Its the way you drive when you are on a motorcycle.
I have mine on the top right corner (left mirror) and top left on the right mirror, then I adjust mirror so most of my viewing is done with the bottom. It has taken me a while to grow to trust that wide angle mirror, just a little too convex for my liking, but it sure eliminates any blind spot.
