Adam, take it for a good, long test drive, and make up your own mind!

If you are used to thrifty driving with good milage in mind, it could be the right car for you. It has enough room for four, and maybe even for five adults if they are not fat, plus a sizeable boot.
The suspension is just right for bumpy, winding UK country roads.
This type of engine can be of a challenge to folks only used to large, heavy cars, in particular, you nead to know or learn when to switch into which gear.

Reliability is better than most competitors. Expect it to last a long time, virtually trouble free.

    What's not so good:
The seats (can give you a back ache, but can be easily modified)
The steering (not much feel of the road, can make your wrists hurt on long-distance rides)

Congrats, Adam. (What are you driving in the mean time?)

Many (but not all) UK and US reviewers in particular were harsh towards this car. However look at reviews from other countries and you find them much more supportive (eg. Australia, NZ, Canada to a lesser extent, and of course the Philippines where the car is loved).

But as several people have stated, actual owners and US/UK reviewers are highly at odds over the car. EG. in the US, the Mirage has the highest owner loyalty in its class (owners returning to buy a 2nd one).

Only just seen this thread! Congratulations, you've made a good choice. The Attivo has the exact extra equipment I feel is missing from my Mirage '3' CVT. The CVT does need a gentle foot to get the best MPG from it but once you're used to that, it's a lovely little car - and as MetroMPG has already stated, it is much maligned in the UK.
