I was able to Enable OEM Cruise control of my 2014 Mirage DE 5-speed Manual.

It is possible to enable OEM cruise control for Mitsubishi Mirage base model years 2014,15,16.
    All you need is:
    1. used steering wheel from 2014 Outlander Sport and modify Cruise Control Switch Resistors or modify your steering wheel and buy Cruise Control Switch for Mirage ES.
    2. Buy Brake stop switch with 4 pins. Switches with 2 pins don't work (before buying check yours if yours have 4 pins). If manual transmission buy Clutch switch for Cruise control as well.
    3. Decode your ECU. In order to decode you need a Decoder and MUTII.
That is all what you need to enable Cruise control.

Great post. The more detail you could provide, the better. For example, resistor values (before & after) and placement. I know it's probably too late to get photos of these details, but it would be very helpful for anyone else wanting to pursue this. ECU specifics, switch part numbers, identification of wiring harnesses (such as wire colors) and connector descriptions would all be helpful.

    Congratulations, and thanks for sharing.

I am working on the video and diagrams and some pics as well. As you say I can't open everything and show it in details.

seanla04, much thanks for these details.

Do you recall what value resistors you used on the cruise control? I didn't see them listed.

I like the cruise control on my ES, and it was a primary reason for getting that trim level. Here for a few bucks, you have it on a DE.

    Bravo!

I posted the wiring diagram and it tells you how much resistance you should have. I bought 4 resistors from digitec.com company believe that each of them cost me about 50 cent. 1. 178 ohms 2. 287 ohms 3. 576 Ohms 4. 1740 ohms. For your information I spend more than you think because I was taking risk and bought MUTIII, repair manual which I am sharing for free and coding program. Thanks.

Nice job with your write up! It's cool you went with the MUT III, however I believe some have had success using the ETACS decoder program (pay per use or per month) and the cheaper Toyota cable. I know it lists cruise as a changeable option as well as others(fog lights, etc). If you don't mind me asking can you recommend a site that sells MUT III?
