What would it take if I wanted to install a new steering wheel only for the media controls? Do you still have to flash the computer to get the media controls to work? Or would it be plug and play?

Empty to full in $12 flat.

I don't think a entire new steering wheel is needed, just the bluetooth keypad installed in the original wheel and a bluetooth module installed under the dash connected to the stereo. seanla04 used the module from a Lancer.

Hi i found that my switch for stop light is not good. Like @seanla04 wrote you have to have 4 pins switch with OE number is 8614A183.

On my photo i have connector only with three cables so i have a question to people who made a CC on their cars. Did you put some extra wiring like is on the diagram to the stop light switch or there is an extra connector hiden somewhere under the dash?

Well, I installed the new to me wheel with cruise controls. Then I tried to use ETACS decoder. I can see some things in my etacs section but nothing shows for the engine. I'm using the mini-vci cable. I get green lights for those things but I don't see anything cruise control related.

Kind of stuck at the moment.

EDIT: Got it to work. Light turns on but no cruise. I'll have to check my brake and clutch switches.

Just ordered switches. We'll see if they work.

If your wiring harness has missing wire, it may not work and you need to run the wire to the ECU. See this Russian page on installing cruise control. you may need google translate turn on.

I have a 2015 Mirage ES 5MT. Ordered a 2014 Outlander wheel from a junkyard and a mini-VCI. Now to figure out the rest of the parts and do this!

Did you ground the brake pedal sensor? Seems like that is required for the extra switch based on the wiring diagram.

    IT WORKS!!!!

These are the switches you need. If you have CVT ignore the clutch obviously. On my american DE I literally pulled the second clutch plug/wiring out of the harness tape and plugged in the second switch. The brake switch just turns and you pull it out. You don't need to unscrew anything for the brake switch. Just unplug it, turn it to the left and pull it out. Reverse for the new one. I don't know what size nut you need for the second clutch switch, I got one out of my nut and bolt bucket. It took me longer to take the panel off and on than it did to install. Just take the clutch switch to home depot or something and see what nut fits.

Combined with my salvage ES steering wheel, vtacs decoder, Toyota mini VCI cable and cruise is now working. I spent about $100 total.

These are the correct part numbers in the US. I don't know about the wiring in other countries. It's plug and play in the US!
