Purolator Pure One PL14610 Oil Filter for $3.44 at K-Mart

The local K-Mart has the yellow PL14610 filters for $3.44. I understand this is a great price and that the yellow ones have the grippy texture but are being replaced with a different color filter without this feature. Get them while you can! The local K-mart is pretty hit or miss on things and the auto section is pretty much the same. There is no filter lookup there so know what filter you need or have your phone and be ready to look it up.

Also, is there an extended/oversize filter option for these cars or not?

I use the Hastings LF486 which is the same as the Baldwin 1431.

PureOne is used to be the filter of the choice, but after several publicised failures (search BITOG) it is no longer.

I have one somewhere.. last change we used a fram ultra 7317.. As I recall there was hardly any clearance left on 5mt to fit the magnet on the top. Don't think any bigger would work.
