Have you tried calling Ultragauge for advice? I'd like to know what they say about this.

I wouldn't connect that UltraGauge to your Mirage again or any car. Unless there is a problem with your OBD-II port, but that seems less likely.

I have one of these, and so far it's been working perfectly...

Strangely, it was half the price when I bought it a few weeks ago.

I have been busy trying to get everything else with the car straightened out. I'm going to give them a call midweek.

    Reviving an old thread.

Twice, my ultragauge has caused the illumination of the ABS and traction control lights upon car start up. Also, the tachometer jumps around very rapidly up and down. The problem goes away after unplugging the ultragauge and restarting the car.

Anybody experience anything like this? Any advice? I'm not sure what the problem could be.

It happens to me when my OBDII app tries to establish communication with Speck before I have the engine started & running. Restarting Speck has made the lights go away every time.

It never happens if I start the engine before I start the OBDII app.

I've never noticed the tachometer gauge acting abnormal - I'll have to watch for it. Thanks for the tip.

I knew there was something I didn't like about the SG. It just looked cheap imho.

I have owned a autometer ecometer and it was plugged in for 7 years in my previous car with no issues and now I tossed it in my Tundra. Works just as well but with a lot smaller numbers being displayed haha.
So far my scangauge eco is working perfectly in the mirage. If anything like that happened if never plug it back in my car.

Pryme - just for clarification, I've used a ScanGauge (SG) in a Mirage with no problems.

This thread is referring to the UltraGauge -- different manufacturer's product.

Do not plug it in again, return it for a refund asap before your car has permanent damage!

Been using ultragauge for more than 3 years now on my mirage, haven't had any problems whatosever. One thing I observed though when I turn up the refresh rate it seems that the engine would run sluggish, return it to default and engine power returns.
