rust preventative spray is good though. But depends how the weather is. moist and water will most likely form rust on metal. Bad paint is number 1 reason also

I'm chuckling a little that you even had to mention this.

What do we have otherwise - crazy fast pizza delivery - on two wheels - all toppings oddly intact.

Just so you guys know Evan at Next gen tuning is being super awesome! I hope it works out but I have a feeling I will be rocking NO bar. Just dont have the funds to replace it, being a pizza delivery guy 20 hours a week.
This post represents a humorous timeline of my work history. I used to work at a stabilizer bar factory, and currently hold down a part time, second job delivering pizza. Lol.

Anyway, most of the time stabilizer bar failures are not due to failure of the bar but the fasteners. If you only had 30K miles on the bar and it is that rusted I'm seriously doubting that the paint was applied correctly. It was almost certainly powder coated improperly, hence there really ought to be some sort of recourse from your supplier.

Interesting you mention this. I often wonder why the paint on a twisting piece doesn't fail and flake off from the twisty part. Yours rusted more at the mounting plates, not at the flexing bar.

    Go figure.

    Any ideas why?

    Bummer!

The rust doesn't look good, but I don't think it's the cause.

Looks like metal fatigue due to the rust weakening the metal. Doesn't help that the paint(powder coat??) looks sub par.

I'm going to have to agree with Darin. It looks like a fatigue failure, not rust.
