Yeah, no. My bar has rusted at the welds, but the bar itself fatigued and cracked.

The cause of failure is fatigue. I havn't heard anything back from evan either.

I'll try to get a hold of him today. Hopefully I get some type of response.

My guess for the failure is that due to the weak spring rate of the Mirage the bar is taking an abnormally high amount of torsional stress to compensate for the lack of spring resistance.

I also have this bar installed. I would also agree that stiffer rear shocks would make the entire vehicle happier. I wish someone made them at a stock ride height. I don't want to fork out the labor $ to have a full set of lower springs installed when all I want is a stiffer rear end lol. Same reason I keep my wife around. It's cheaper to keep her!

I wonder if there have been failures in the Mirage UR bars in other countries. I bet there are a lot more installed in Southeast Asia.

I have found a few in the forums, but only people who still have the stock ride height. Factory springs are so loose the whole car is flexing on its joints constantly in a bad way.

Here is the last one I read about that was broken and replaced...

    http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forum...apped-in-half/

"Just thought I had better follow up on this one.

    Better late than never.

The bar was happily replaced under warranty.

I was advised that it should never break they have not seen one break before.

    Replacement was sent very quickly.

Could not be happier with Ultra Racing."

I have waited a week and a half for Evan to get back to me and nothing, so i guess I need to contact UR myself.

Gonna try, but if it doesn't work out I will just trade the car in and buy a fiesta ST. So I can have a car that upgrades well!

Have not heard of anybody with a failed UR swaybar at MPH; mine is more than 2 years old and it is still in top condition... the anti-rust paint may have helped anyway..

What model Air Lift did you use and how much PSI are you running?
