Smart key warning beeps for no reason. Anyone heard of this?

I have a quirk with my 2015 Mirage. The smart key warning beeper will go off for no reason from time to time. I have tried replacing the battery and making sure there was nothing else in my pocket with the key fob but for some reason it does that. Today it is not. Has anyone heard of this?

    thanks

    Welcome to the forum, McCMirage.

I'd say that's more of a "problem" than an "interesting quirk".

I'm going to move your post to a dedicated thread that may get some more eyeballs on it.

I don't have the smart key so I'm sorry I am of no help to you. However I've tried repeatedly to get my regular wireless fob to unlock all of the doors (not just driver) on the first press of the unlock button. I've followed the manual exactly and the only thing I've managed to toggle was the sound feedback when locking the doors. Maybe our keys are defective or something. Or maybe I'm just missing something.

Do you store your mobile phone in one of the holders near the smart key? I've noticed that sometimes (especially if I'm using bluetooth to communicate with my OBD adapter) that the phone seems to interfere.

Please check for the IOD fuse to be fully inserted.
The small plastic door/cover in front of driver's left knee pops out with a small screw driver of knife.

Then you will see a yellow plastic fuse holder with two fuses in it. Push in on the entire yellow assembly to seat it.

At the factory they pull it out to reduce battery drain while the car is sitting on the lots waiting to be sold. It should be seated before selling the car,but a lot of times it is not fully seated causing radio and key issues.

What 3dplane said. His fuse info fixed my Mirage's electrical issues.

Gotta say, I checked mine the day I brought it home (it was seated pretty solid.)

    Thanks 3dplane.
