I am sure you can't wait for those super-duper safe driver-less cars, either....but I can.

As a regular bike rider, this feature can't come fast enough. Unfortunately, people are not going to stop staring at their phones instead of the road and as automakers continue to put more connectivity features and screens into cars, the distractions will only increase. Every time I ride, I worry that a distracted driver will plow into me. This was not the case before the advent of the smart phone.

This would have helped me that one time I looked down for a single second in dead rush hour.

You're right. I would rather have my car drive me back and forth from work, rather than die because some knot-head decides to play ricky-racer, or someone on their phone runs into me. Don't kid yourself, there is no stopping the autonomous car push.

I agree, autonomous cars are coming sooner rather than later.

    I know.... right!?!?
Seatbelts 'n airbags don't take control out of your hands while you drive.
    Will weld for beer.

I wish the Escalade which nailed me on the traffic light and totaled me had it

I think your view on this depends on if you ever had been rear-ended or not. And no I don't want it in my car, just the car behind (and one behind it too)
