Does rotating tires trigger the TPMS light?

I have seen conflicting information on this, so I figured I would ask here. I know some of you guys have rotated your tires multiple times.

If you rotate the tires on a Mirage, will the TPMS light come on if you don't re-register the new TPMS sensor positions with the computer? I have always assumed the answer was NO.

I didn't think the car had any ability to match up a specific sensor ID with a specific location on the car. But I read a generic guide this afternoon that said the Mirage does require reprogramming after a tire rotation.

The TPMS light never came on with mine after rotation, and I have rotated mine 2-3 times.

Thanks for the reply. I think this website I was reading had some bad info even though it was a manufacturer of TPMS sensors and tire valves!
