    Placebo effect?

the MPG increase from removing <2% of the weight would be ~0.5%, less than margin of error. Pump calibration and shut off, road condition, temperatures, rain, windo would have greater impact. Not to mention energy density variation of different fuels.

Does anyone drive with their side mirrors folded in? You could probably talk your way out of any ticket, and in the meantime its a safe(r), lower risk, easy way to check if the reduced drag has any noticeable effect. Assuming you have folding mirrors like I do (not sure if standard...)

Power folding mirrors? Not standard. Manual folding though, yeah, standard.

Grow a pair and rip that thing off!!

The benefit of folding the mirror is likely 1/8 of removing it. Granted, you probably loose a fair amount of frontal area, but you still have this big wart hanging off the side disturbing flow.

It was a eureka moment for me, sitting in the seat for the first time mirror-less. I can't describe it other than "liberating". It really makes the car feel open. I doubt I'll ever put it back on.

I know the general consensus here is "I'm an unsafe idiot" but go take a look on ecomodder.com where there's people doing dual mirror deletes. I'm nothing but pansy too them.

    Too each there ownn!
