    Question Bluetooth Sound Quality

Does anyone know if the integrated Bluetooth support AptX for music streaming?

(English: Transmitting music for playing over Bluetooth can be done using one of 2 methods: a2dp -widely supported-, or AptX, newer but with higher sound quality.)

All Samsung products made after 2013 have aptX, from what I read. How the Mirage handles it is another matter.

I have a Galaxy S6, and the music streamed in my '15 ES sounds pretty good.

It has to be supported by the both the phone and the stereo. If it is, they'll use it automatically.

I just bought a pair of bluetooth earbuds that support AptX and the sound quality is noticeably better when playing from my Galaxy S6. I wouldn't be surprised if the 2017 models support it.

This page from Aptx.com lists equipment that uses aptx. While Clarion has several models listed, none are the NX509 navigation unit available with the 2014/2015 Mirage. I haven't found any info on the 2017 radios.

I agree with you Eggman, that's not the Mirage bluetooth module. I'm not sure who manufactured that particular unit.
