I don't think anyone here has done this yet. You could be the first though!

Welcome to the forum. When you are able, put up some pictures in your Garage entry, and also remember to post some fuel log entries.

Maybe it's easier to fit a complete system in your Puerto Rico Mirage, i know you had to buy a whole engine/with start stop system, but maybe you could get one on ebay.... ? - Instead of, maybe having trouble with the install of the seperat parts in your engine now...

Interesting, so its not just an electrical thing, there are mechanical changes?

Definitely mechanically changed too. Or will require a larger battery, higher amp alternator, and a HD starter. This is all because they're used far more often.

Yes, I recall there is a bigger battery, bigger starter, and bigger alternator, as well as some different settings in software to make it all work. Auto Stop & Go (ASG) and regenerative braking are discussed in other posts. Here are some examples:

Also some sort of clutch between CVT and engine to put it into 'neutral' so the car can restart without you having to put it into neutral yourself. This would be a bigger project than just a nice swap.
