I should explain...I didn't mean the USA metal was bad, but take a look at Mitsubishi's coated brake lines. My F150 had rusty brake lines within about two years, and first one broke when the truck was about 10 years old. In contrast, my 1981 Colt (Mirage) has original coated lines. Never been replaced. That's a 35 year old car.
It's not just Ford, to be fair.
