very easily in the city, not so much at speeds above 65

anytime you can, coast down hills in neutral, and remember too look far down the road and anticipate stops vs racing too them.

I've only had a few tanks under 50mpg, mostly in the 53-57area. the car is capable of well over 60mpg, proven by myself and many others.

freeway is the stick mirages nemesis.... still knock out 50s, but you need really clutch anytime possible... best speed I've found is 37ish mph in 5th gear

MightyMirageMpg covered it all. Plan ahead and slow down.

Set your dash indicator to display your real-time mpg. Every time you take a trip, watch that reading. It will help you learn the right driving strategies for extracting the most mileage from your car. Once you get in the habit of driving your car in an efficient manner, it will almost become automatic every time you're behind the wheel.

You have to put a little bit of effort into it. Don't get discouraged if your first few tanks of gas aren't big mpg numbers. You aren't going to pull down 50mpg by driving this like a "normal" car with the AC blasting all the time and racing from light to light. But if there's a car that's just begging to be driven lightly for big mpg numbers, it's the Mirage.
