Wow...I was perusing Mitsubishi's website and just noticed that on the G4 ES one can now add an $800 "Smart Phone Display Package" which includes the SE's cruise control, Bluetooth, Apple/Android stereo, Homelink, and rearview camera.
At first, I thought, "Hey, cool...now I can get an ES manual with a lot of the important SE goodies for just $800 more! Woohoo!"
BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO GET THE DAMNED CVT, and the price is within spitting distance of the SE anyway!!!!!
What is the point?? What is Mitsubishi doing with all of this flailing?? What does Mitsubishi have against people who want well-equipped cars with manual transmissions? This is where the Spark really has it over the Mirage...any trim level can be had with a manual. Sure, you may have to order it, but you can GET ONE.
Man, that is the G4 Mitsubishi should be sending to professional reviewers...the $15,000 manual ES w/the SPDP. I think reviews would be a lot better.
