    Help with new rims

Hey everyone, so I have the steelies with the hubcaps on my 2015 Mirage at the moment, would like to get something that looks a little nicer, I really like those swirly looking rims that come on the 2017's called the dealer for a quote for one thinking I could get one here and there until I had 4 assuming they're like $250 each... Well dealer quotes $428 for one, so there went that... Was going to ask does anyone have any good places to suggest for rims, not looking for something sporty, just something that adds to the look. Any suggestions? I saw some 15's off a Toyota that looked good but I've looked all over for them and can't find them. Any suggestions help would be greatly appriciated.

These are $92 each on tire rack. These are on a car I'm borrowing from my dealer.

got some newly refinished wheels with brand new tires for $350 on Craigslist.

Deals for days on tiny rims like these. Just don't get suckered into buying rims that necessitate rare ($$) sized tires, or abnormally heavy rims (stay under 20lbs each for sure)

You can find those 2017 wheels used if you look hard enough on eBay, Craigslist, etc. There’s not much demand for them. I sold my brand new (700 mile) aluminum wheels off of my 2015 for about $200. And that included the center caps and chrome lug nuts. That’s the least expensive way to go. Used sets pop up on this forum every once in a while.

If you really want to transform the look of your car, consider ditching the stock wheels completely. I say this because not only are they are too narrow, but the offset is terrible. The funky offset is what is killing the stance of the Mirage on stock wheels. This is why the stock wheels look like they are pushed under the car too far.

Be careful looking at stock wheels from other cars…especially if you can’t verify how much they weigh. This goes for aftermarket wheels, too. 14” Mirage aluminum wheels only weigh about 13 pounds…and so do the stock tires (26 lbs total). There ARE a few lightweight wheels out there, but most OEM and aftermarket wheels tend to be heavier than they look. If you put heavy wheels on your car and don't use low rolling resistance tires, your fuel economy WILL go down. How important is it for you to maintain your fuel economy?

I have aftermarket 15" wheels on my car while maintaining 50+ mpg fuel economy. You can read about my current setup HERE.

Aftermarket is the way to go. These cost me around $500 with tires mounted and balanced from discount tire. They weigh only 10.9 lbs, less than the stock wheel. Name: image-20160617_173554.jpg
