    Question Engine Filter

    i just got this dumb question.. it just gets in my mind

    what if i remove the filter from the OEM filter box at the enging bay and connect something like a tube with an aftermarket filter. what can be the effects?

    A short ram, cold air, or warm air intake? With these motors, nothing much will change.

    Other than additional intake noise, no other performance effect. Although the "snout" on the air box looks dinky, it's not restricting air flow to the Mirage's small 1.2 liter displacement.
