What insurance company? I'm with State Farm down here. I've been upfront about the customization of my interior but it now makes sense why their guy insisted on taking pictures of the engine and suspension as well. This is one hell of a way to shut down people who track their DD. This would quickly turn into punishment for anyone looking to do anything non-oem to their cars.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. You gonna drive something stock for a while or just stay low key?

They already put into written law in Ontario that if your vehicle is modified from OE specifications, it is deemed unsafe and will not pass any safety inspection. SO cops can nail you for that. I have a pick up already for trailering whatever I race next season. Insurance companies all agree now because of said law that they won't accept modified vehicles. Not Wynne's concern. She's just taking money in her back pocket and screwing everybody on taxes, bills and laws. She even added a tax on a tax on a service.

here in florida, the insurance companies seem to be more worried if you have rented wheels and tires more than anything lol. im just so surprised about whats going down with you. i always thought Canada in general was "relaxed" when it came down to car modification, and i thought California was bad.

It's more specifically the province of Ontario. Most others don't give a fudge. Some don't even have emissions testing nor safety certification.

    Wow, that stinks.

I guess you won't be developing any other parts for the Mirage either.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100
