Has anybody ever thought of adding side mirror puddle lights into their Mirage car?

I haven't heard of puddle lights before. What are they used for?

i dont have those but i installed a courtesy light instead. since i've noticed that if the lights comes from the side mirror and opens up your door, the door would still block the light.
i just dont get the purpose of that light either.

This is used to light up the sides and is beneficial when parking in dim places.

That would be a cool addition to bottom of the door to light the ground for exiting the car.
Mirrors add to the cool factor though.
Will weld for beer.

Side mirror puddle light installed
serves my purpose very well. I can now see the tire in my dash monitor w/ the side mirror camera clearly at night as it were broad daylight.
