    Question Missing my Mirage

Last Dec after I put 84k miles on MY14 Mirage DE decided to get something else. I drive 110 miles a day to work and back. Upgraded to the Lancer SE AWC. Great car but the MPG is only 27 and is not all that comfortable for the seat being too wide. Once paid off, I am considering at the beginning of 2018 to get a left over 17 Mirage SE auto and a 17 Versa S. I just always want a manual and for 9900 +plus tax is not bad! What is your opinion peeps?

You are asking the choir what to do? lol

Get the Mirage and turn off the auto air conditioning (compressor). Unless money is not object, why waste it by giving it away to a dealer and gas company?

If you're driving that many miles a day then a leftover '17 is a no brainer. That many miles a day you'll drive the value out of any vehicle. We have a recent new member that has a fleet of over 30 of them, many with over 200K km's in Canada with very few problems. Although the Versa isn't terrible, Mitsubishi's 3A92 1.2 is an awesome motor. Thousands of members on this forum with virtually zero engine mechanical problems. So when the question is can I put 150K, 200K on a Mirage without engine issues, the answer is an absolute yes. If you're gonna pile miles on a car then pick the least expensive, most efficient, most reliable vehicle you can get your hands on. Without question, that's the Mirage.

I got a quote for an 17 Mirage SE auto new for 12750 plus tax/fees. But I still want a stick car and might pick up the Versa S. The upside down might be a lot on the lancer, so not sure I want to front up that much cash.

I would keep the lancer as a nice car and get a lightly used 17 mirage for a work car. It's hard to beat the price when you compare it to other new cars but the used mirage market is awesome, some really good deals can pop up saving 1,000s

Windows tints and when needing new tires might upgrade to some 15s and better tires.

Can I ask why you traded in the iA? There is a former Mirage owner here who now owns one that thinks it is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

I'd like to hear your reasoning too, remusrm.

Based solely on what I've read, the iA manual is a better driver's car, and the fuel economy is decent.
