    Here in SD the concrete on the interstate is combed or grooved in the direction of travel, in theory to help minimize hydroplaning and to help break ice loose from the pavement. My Mirage would lock into those grooves and violently move the steering wheel around as the tires followed every tiny change in direction of the pavement. On blacktop or gravel it was fine, but on the grooved concrete it was miserable.
