Anything left of this, or have all the parts been accounted for?

I replaced the Mirage and one of my trucks with a Ford Transit cab chassis with a 12' flatbed.

I bought the Mirage when my commute to work was 30 miles of pavement each way and gas was $4/gal. With those parameters the car saved me enough in gas to cover the payment and insurance.

Since then gas prices came down, I moved to 12 miles from work, and 3 of those miles are gravel. The car was already no good in the snow with the stock tires, and they were terrible on the gravel as well. When I swapped to more aggressive 13" tires snow and gravel performance were dramatically improved, but fuel economy dropped to @28mpg when it was cold out and @35mpg with the AC on in the summer.

In addition, my car developed a terrible tendency to tramline on the interstate. It was bad enough to make me uncomfortable letting anyone else drive it.

So, since I was only driving it 8 months a year anyway, and it wasn't paying for itself anymore, and I couldn't let anyone else drive it, I couldn't justify keeping it. An opportunity came to buy a 20 mpg truck to replace one of my 10 mpg ones, so I used it as an opportunity to get rid of the payment and insurance.

I swapped the original wheels and tires back on for the trip to the dealership to trade it in and pick up the new truck. It still tramlined, but got 46mpg for the 350 mile trip. It was also only worth $5500 trade in, at 20 months old with 32k miles, which is the worst depreciation I have ever experienced.

So I can say it was a good car, never left me in a lurch, but I wouldn't do it again.

Not sure what you mean by 'tramline.' Could you please explain?
