    Vented hood

    hi guys!
    i'm planning to customize my ride to have that evo look

    and i stumbled upon this.



    but, i'm worried if it could do harm on engine during rainy days.


    would appreciate your thoughts

    Instead of black vents, you could do black inserts. Regardless though, it would look sweet!

    The engine will be fine. Everything under the hood is protected from rain and splashing water (not submersion of course).
    Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

    It will affect the aerodynamics but not that significant IMHO

    It's theoretically possible that venting cooling airflow to the hood (instead of dumping it beneath the car and in the wheel wells) could actually *improve* aero... but it would have to be ducted to work well.

    And by theoretically possible Metro means you'd have to probably develop the hood in a wind tunnel to get it working right.
