Engine Oil for 3A90 Mitsubishi Mirage 2014

Can anyone advise which engine oil shall be used for 3A90 Mitsubishi Mirage 2014.

    I tried OW-40(Make: Mobil1) and 5W-30 (Make Micking)

With OW-40(Make: Mobil1) car pick was slow. With 5W-30 (Make Micking) car acceleration has improved but engine start time from cold state has increased.

    Any recommendation please.

    Welcome. Pakistan... awesome!

Our 1.2l calls for 0w-20. I personally use 5w myself because I feel there's less initial chatter.

Today I measured on stopwatch; starting noise kept on coming for 2.69 seconds which in usual cases shall not prolong so much. Can it be because of winter (though its 17 Deg C only) or due to engine oil.

Thanks of all the initial responses.

I'm thinking that your noise is coming from using a oil filter with no or weak anti-drainback valve (ADBV). The better filters use a silicone ADBV which usually holds up much better than a rubber one.

The Mitsubishi filter does NOT have a ADBV I believe. I'm not sure what brands are available in Pakistan but are Wix, Hastings, K & N, Purolator, Fram Ultraguard or Baldwin filters available? All of these have decent ADBV's. The sound you hear on cold start up is that all the oil has drained out of the filter and you are basically dry starting until the oil pump refills the lubrication system.

Mostly Honda Make filters are being used. I will import the filter if you can advise any mode number for mirage.
