    Observation hubcaps

Saturday saw five mirages in the wild 14-15 DE models (2) appeared to have all, (2) missing most, (1) missing all. All were in good shape. Caps on the '17's seem tight had them off to check air pressure... dealer did not align any stems on Dolores. Occasionally view used Mirages online some 14-15's have the walmart-autopart store special.
Will be careful this winter not to lose any.

I am sorry, but the standard wheel covers on the Mirage look like they came from the Dollar Store. A Wal-Mart special might be an improvement. A former neighbor had a Mirage and lost a cap in the first two weeks she had the car. So, one thing I insisted on was that my Mirage would have to have the alloy wheels.

I see many Toyotas, especially the Yaris, with one or two of their plastic wheel covers missing or broken.

Yeah, with the massive amount of pot holes, I'm not surprised. I'm just to to remove mine for the winter.

I took my hub caps off - they really do look cheap. And it was impossible to get behind them to try to dig out the snow build-up in the wheels. Although the steelies aren't any easier to clean...

Zip tie them to your rim. Never will loose one.
