Thanks for the link to a great review. Love the rotary climate control dials. Our standard for US 2014-2015 auto climate control doesn't work particularly well and, IMO, is money that could have been better used elsewhere in the car. Armrest, perhaps?
Ha! That's funny. I'll take the auto climate controls over an armrest any day. I find it works great (once I learned how to use it) and an armrest becomes another place to hold needless clutter. I find my glovebox does that job just fine.

I would have paid extra for manual HVAC controls...lol. Automatic climate control is great until you have to repair it.
You guys are just reminding me that I need to jump on eBay and buy a spare automatic climate control unit. If you haven't priced one from the dealer, hold onto your wallet...

Not on the Mirage...but I've been down the road in another vehicle with automatic climate control. In that case, the blend door actuator motor failed ($$), but in the process it shorted out (and fried) the main dash control head ($$). That little adventure cost me about $1200 several years ago.
I was curious about the Mirage and looked that part up several months ago to find out how much it was. I wasn't shocked to see the list price on in above $1K. The good thing is, you can find these on eBay right now for less than $50. This is one of those things that I plan on picking up just to have a spare handy...especially as my car gets closer to the end of its bumper-to-bumper warranty.
