5 is great for that city to 55mph speed. Then after that......
    It does need 6.
Manual transmissions have had close ratios for long enough. I would like to see greater jumps between gears if only for less shifting.

    Congratulations!

I tested it on old US 1 in topsfield MA last night. ******* of a hill right after the topsfield fair @ MA 97. I let off the clutch and it locked the service pedal until the clutch engaged. ( I call it the service pedal, non cdl car drivers know it as the brake pedal )

    Congrats!

And thanks for the comparison notes.

There's some mysterious reason that the Mirage has more return customers in its class than any other. We've got more than a few 2-Mirage households as members in the forum.

Highest model loyalty 2 years running (U.S.A.)
"Mitsubishi Mirage had the greatest percentage of owners [in its segment] who returned to market and purchased or leased another Mitsubishi Mirage in the 2014 model year"

First one was about what I was doing in the 15. The 15 is the cvt. Second.. No. Never saw that on the instant. I like the manual box. They should have went with a 6 gear low od for the North American market. Like I said.. I could see50+ with a 6 gear. My lifetime average for the 15 es for 1500 miles is 39.8. Damned good for being in Boston.
I expect more from the 17 after the break in

While we are on the 17. The cheapie Bluetooth is crap. I want the link system like I have in my 15. They mounted the Mic just above the rear view. Plus I have to fight with Google now to load up my contacts instead of just pushing the button on the wheel and telling princess link what to do. I hope going forward Mitsubishi makes that one the standard. The link Bluetooth my friend tells me sounds like my $150 truck headset. The 17? He said it sounds like a bag of rocks bouncing off the car.
