Welcome to the forum HydroJim ! Great looking Mirage and as a former owner of many a Metro, you'll really enjoy the Mirage.

    Welcome, HydroJim!

Congrats - that sounds like a solid good deal you got.

    Resurfaced rotors
That's funny - nobody in my town machines rotors any more. The last few times I've inquired, they've said, "With cheap Chinese rotors, it's the same price to buy yourself a new set than pay us the labour to machine the ones that are on it."

    PS: I assume it's a 5-speed?

And don't forget to make a garage page:

    Garage empty: add car

Bridgestone Potenza RE92s. I guess I'll find out if the alignment is any good depending on how these wear. The dealer said they didn't have an alignment print out.

As far as the rotors go, I couldn't tell you if they're resurfaced or replaced. That's just what I was told. Figured I'd take their word for it. I guess I could pop a wheel off and look for markings on the rotors. It's freaking cold here right now though. 15 degrees(F) today!

Yes, it's a 5 speed. The transmission sure has a weird feel to it. No idea if I'm mashing the gears together too hard or not? My metro has so much feel in the stick and the clutch that I can feel if things are going smoothly or badly. With this mirage, the shifting is tight but lifeless.

Wow - you scored on the replacement tires! Those are the mythic tires from the gen. 1 Insight. Lowest rolling resistance of any tire I've tried.

It would be so great if you could compare rolling performance with someone else with the stock Dunlop Enasaves.

Seems like a lot of people on tirerack don't like these tires. But those are probably the same people who don't like metros and mirages.

Hmm, know of anyone on the forum who lives near me?
