Like the reviewer. Seems like a no BS 'good ole boy' and his opinion isn't far off my own - not a bad car for what it is. 15 seconds to 60 does seem a bit slow. Pretty sure my '15 hatch manual can do it in 11 or 12. It's not a fast and some maneuvers planning, but it gets the job done.

15 seconds seems doubtful. Car & Driver tested the 2017 Mirage CVT, and it was 12.8. The slight weight penalty of the sedan can't add 2 seconds.

I hadn't seen this review before - thanks for posting it.

There seems to be a myth out there that "all reviewers hate the Mirage", but there are many like this that one that are more balanced and recommend the car based on the buyer's needs & abilities (financial).

I agree here. I've done 90+ mph on the highway without issue but that wind can be really wicked in such a small car. I had no doubts it could hit 100 or higher but getting there comfortably is an issue. Same thing on my Shadow 750 - I can get it to 100 pretty easy, just for thrills, but it's really not smart

On a side note has anyone hit the speed governor on this thing? Where does it cut out?

I bet it tops out due to wind resistance well before you'd hit the rev limiter. I doubt there's a road speed limiter.

I just read a thread from last year where people were topping out at 111 mph before hitting a limiter in the 2017. That's pretty wild

Wow 111mph! I was shocked when a member said he got over 90. It climbs so slow at over 85mph I think you would need over a minute of full throttle action lol

    Quite impressive, assuming it's true.

Better correct myself - another member on that thread said "Why is 2017 model limited to 161 km/h when 2015 model i limited to 180km/h?" (111mph on the 2015, 100mph on the 2017). Looks like they may have toned down the 2017 a little? Still pretty darn fast for a small car

Mitsuko my '17 G4 SE just completed her first long trip, a whirlwind 570 round trip to St Louis and back. 40MPG average, that was brought down a bit by some high headwinds coming back. Trust me, all 3 squirrels were frequently spinning furiously! Overall: comfy, seats were supportive, tolerable quiet, I had a passenger and we could hear each other fine. Kept up with the steady 70-75 MPH traffic just fine. Hate the navigation system (or else I don't understand it yet) that was the only problem.

Real car? yes. Real good car? In my book and for my use, you bet.
