So my belt has been making a bit of noise recently, not loud of enough to call a squeak. I idle my mirage sometimes 6-8 hours a day to stay comfortable doing ride share. Two months in the summer it runs almost non stop with ac, winter time it only runs non stop when temps are below 15 degrees. So if I included my idle hours as miles I estimate my mirage has the equivant of 120,000 miles.
I check my air filter every other fill up, I've been doing this since new, I bang it out gently when there's debris. So far it's still not restrictive. I bought a new wix filter but I think I prefer the oem more. I figure I'll run the oem until it becomes restrictive, I have checked several times during oil changes with a vacuum gauge with no vacuum present after the filter (no restriction).
I did replace the belt today though. And my second cabin filter.
The belt: dayco made in USA 5060485
I bought this from eBay $11 shipped
Cabin filter : pronto made in China $5-6 each rock auto
I also bought some ngk lzfr5b1-11 iridium oem plugs from rock auto $6 each I believe
(Will be replacing these when I get to my garage next week)
I grabbed some cheap semi metallic brake pads $12 (my rotors are worn and I figured I'd do one last cheap pad r&r)
Here's some pics of the cabin filter, and the air filter. I'll make another post as a dedicated how to change the belt. With pics of that
