Ample clearance. Whole wheel can go behind the fenders.
An overall shot.
Check out THIS thread for other pics of 15x8 wheels on a Mirage.

I bought a set of Kosei K1 in the 15x7 from one of the Miata club members. I believe I posted a picture of them to my garage. No clue what the offset was but they greatly reduced my turning radius so I'm guessing that was the issue. I took them back off after a few days of it making my regular drive crappy. I'm back on the American Racing Snipers in the 14x6. They would be great if I get around to lowering the car some.
Fit;
Those look great - can i ask why you cut the inner lip instead of rolling the whole thing? Also how badly do they restrict your turning radius?
After looking at a few others setups it's pretty clear my wide tires are the issue. I learned ET is equal too offset so i have 15x8 +25 offset
Thanks I love the off set. Yes et means offset.
You will need to run 185s for a mild stretch.
I kept the stock tire since they were brand new. Worked out great!
It doesn't affect turning radius. With the narrow tires and 25 offset,
The fronts are free to turn from lock to lock with no rubbing.
A 15x8 in a higher et like 38 or 40 might rub as the wheel is deeper inboard.
You are sharp to notice the cut I made in the fender. It helps the fender lip fold
back cleanly and flatter. And I only rolled and pulled the part that rubs. I cut my fender after watching this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/DYzhY7SN6hM
One of the most informative and helpful fender rolling videos around.
