Thread: Casper :: 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage Base (Garage entry)

  1. General Information
    Casper
    2015
    Mitsubishi
    Mirage Base
    White
    Manual

Base with factory ordered A/C. Aftermarket fog lights installed and enabled (by dealership) in ETACS. Factory cruise control installed and enabled by me!

    Details

eBay aero roof racks! Custom built/cut to fit with wind fairing and Inno ski racks! Summer will bring bike racks

    Cheap-O License Plate relocated! Just 2" x 2" L brackets

    Plasti-Dipped Front Grille! EVO style!!

Red vinyl'd the front & rear Mitsubishi logos and the steering wheel

De-Badged rear hatch, removed "Mitsubishi" and "Mirage" decals

Aftermarket front fog lights, enabled in ETACS (by dealership!)

Black, pretty stock! Good enough for me!

    •

Base stereo! I like push buttons.

    •

    Same motor and all parts!

    •

Auto Dynasty lowering springs! Budget friendly ; Front and rears installed. Fronts are pretty good but the rears are way too soft and bottom out often. Very uncomfortable and brutal bumping. I haven't given up yet will continue to look for ways to improve the rear springs with spacers or a riser to lift slightly.

    Mini Cooper 16" Steelies! Budddgggeeetttt...

    56mm center bore
    4x100
    5.5" wide
    ET 45mm

Achilles ATR-K 165/40r16 tires on all 4 which are too small. Go for a taller sidewall next time.

    Extended red aluminum lug nuts

Future plans... Front Tow Hook (ordered), custom license plate holder, plasti-dip front bumper evo style, window tint with plasti-dipped window channels between doors, 16" secret wheels yet to be unveiled (undecided what tire size to do yet depends on how much springs settle) and will be adding Cruise Control before the summer! Anyone nearby have a Mini VCI cable I can borrow..? I'm putting off buying one for myself.. Because I have to buy a 64 bit one!!

I have a neat idea for really budget friendly 16" wheels. I will wait until I finish them up and mount them before I unveil the idea. I have seen a few other cars do it but not all of them can pull it off.

Yes I will be sure to let everyone know how to save some dollas while looking fresh!! I'm still deciding what size tire to put on it... I don't want to go too thin and have too much fender gap.. Look like a knob.

FYI the wheels I am planning to use, I bought a set of 4 for $60 Canadian... That was an exceptional deal! However most people should be able to get a set between $100-$200. Good offset that won't rub or interfere with anything, and the center bore fits perfectly.

    More to come!

Almost makes me want a 2014 or 2015 model just to do the Mitsubishi Mouth mod on it. Love that look! Nice ride.

Thanks!! Yeah the new designs are quite different. There must be a way to add to it though! Might have to do some photoshopping to figure out what could be done?

Thanks!! I'm psyched on it too. Only fairly minor changes imo completely changed the look of this car! I'm pretty happy with it so far but still more I would like to do

Did you paint or powdercoat your steelies? I think the white looks awesome!

Agreed - I like the white wheels on a white car.

Did you ever come to a solution to tolerate the rear springs?
