I set cruise control to 55 MPH, 75F. Tires are 44 PSI, I find that is pretty good PSI for them. I drove from Lake Elsinore, to Escondido, to Anaheim. 120 Miles. I-15 south, 78 south, and I-5 north.

10 psi above manufacturer recommendation. What's the downside?

    Hope it's repairable.

My middle son was rolling along in traffic on the interstate. Heavy traffic. They were moving about 30 mph, and pow, a front tire blew out. Looked like something jagged put a 2 or 3 inch gash on the inner sidewall. The tread and tire life was great, looked like it had 40k+ miles left on them. Two years old, but looked really good. Long story short, I just bought two new front tires (couldn't make myself buy one, the two on there were some clearance tires that weren't available any longer). Just another bite out of my ass.

That tire damage almost looked like the tire just let go, didn't look like something cut it from the outside. However the tire was in otherwise great shape, so I'm chalking it up as having ran over something and cut it.

Oh yeah, I've become an expert with the tire repair kits in recent years. I have horrible luck with screws in the tires. Too much construction everywhere and people don't clean the roads properly in my area. (Don't get me started on the garbage everywhere too!)

Fixed the license plate bracket on my 15, added some spiffy hubcaps and cleared TCs. Mainly because the wife won't/ can't tighten the gas cap.

I guess I am finished installing antennas for now. I have a dual band magnet mount on the rear center section of my roof, a 6 foot lower half loaded coil tuned to the phone section of 40m, 20m, 10m and 6m. I do have to change the wander lead to swap bands so I'm working on a fix
I have a short, maybe 24" Diamond dual band on a hood lip mount which performs surprisingly will. I can trip some wide area repeaters in Toronto from the Brock monument. I do miss an insanely wide area repeater which was easily accessible with a handy talky from the 90's. We used to go shopping on pre-black friday stuff and I could trigger a repeater, VE3WHO with my handy from the Galleria Mall and the same repeater would hear me from Parry sound when I would hilltop with my sled. This repeater was located in King City.
