Virginia authorities say that the paperwork wasn't properly filled out, and they won't process it, to give me a title. I contacted the seller, who is in PA, and he says VA doesn't know what they are talking about, that it's correct. It seems that I might have to put it on my dolly, and haul it up to PA, to try and straighten it all out. Oh.... and I will also have to ask for a day off from my new job, of which I've only been there for 30 days now, in order to haul it up there. Wonder how well that's gonna go over? I've decided that I will probably never buy another salvage vehicle again, at least, not one from out of state. Too many hoops to jump through.
Man, I was really, REEEEALLY hoping you wouldn't have any title troubles with this thing. But I was also afraid that you might.

Salvage cars are a crapshoot...especially when they have passed through a few other people on their way to you. Hope you get it sorted out.

Yeah - good luck, Car Nut.

I reluctantly passed on a low-km salvage car (2001 Swift) a year ago that was already repaired. Too many cross-provincial hoops to jump through to get it plated here.

Unfortunately, Mitsuko has some hail damage so we are going to the insurance adjuster this AM. She and an early Mazda Miata were the only cars in our lot with damage, probably the thinnest metal of them all. The big Lincoln Navigator next to me had zero.

It is actually pretty minor but only about 4 months owned and less than 1900 miles I kind of want her to look pristine for a bit longer!

    Crud! That's too bad.

    Maybe "paint-less" repair possible?

The local Honda dealer is advertising a "hail damage" sale. Over 700 cars. Yeah, you read that right, 700 cars.

Mitsuko got her hail damage repaired and looks as good as new. Place did a great job. Had 31 little dents, it was quite a storm. I am happy again.

Installed reverse sensors. I have the reverse camera but to see a digital readout of distance helps with all the parallel parking I do.
