    Brake pads

A friend looked at my car front wheels and found the pad dust excessive and told me that i should check if the pad is always touching the disk (brake always aplying pressure), i mostly do highway and i dont brake much. Is this normal? According to him its not normal, specialy in a new car.
I think the pads are ok in terms of wear for 10000km.

The garage entry for MITSU says it's a 2016 Mitsubishi SPACE STAR intense.

The brakes are overworked in these cars. A fairly substantial amount of brake dust is normal, especially with the stock semi-metallic pads.

Take the car for a drive on the freeway. Once off the freeway, pull over safely somewhere and touch each front wheel (be careful!). If one wheel is significantly hotter than the other, you may have a hanging caliper. If both are warm but not hot, the brakes are likely functioning normally.

For less dust, switch to ceramic brake pads.

Its a brand new 2016 ...i dont ear noise coming from the brakes...and i think it brakes fairly well...but its true ther is a lot of brake dust...and drive mostly on highway.
I have read that Mitsubishi changed the pad material on the new one (like mine).
