Yeah how did they get 117hp from a mirage? Did they use a butt dyno?

Fummins (11-09-2017)
I took Mirage in again two days ago.
Here's the work invoice..
Note: after seeing this I got a little irate. Enough so that the service tech and a salesman came for a ride with me where I was able to reproduce/prove the noise.
Salesman in back seat heard it clearly, stating it sounded like it was coming from behind or below him while service tech denied the noise is abnormal..
Things got tense after that. lol
You can see my Google review if you look up Thunder Bay Mitsubishi.
Getting ugly.

Wow. And you are not the only one who has problems with their service department.
Too bad all the positive reviews are but two or three words. It gives the impression that they are padding the review score of the dealer.

A coworker with a '17 complains of this same kind of "normal Mirage noise".
I sent a complaint to Mitsu North America and received a response the next day.
Looks like I'm gonna get to present the issue to a Mitsu rep.
This "rattle" issue is for the most part a '17 and up problem. I think it has to do with the exhaust re-design or whatever changes were made to get the extra couple horses out of it.
At least I have someone's attention now.
Cobrajet,
Hopefully your co-worker is making complaints too. The more the better

Now I get a little funny noise with mine and even more so when its cold. Odd thing is my 2015 Mirage ES CVT did it and my 2017 G4 SE hadnt done it but just now started doing it at about 5,000 miles. Mine is just the characteristics of the 3 cylinder I guess since both of mine did it and my coworkers 2015 Mirage ES CVT does it and it has 25,000 miles on it. Anyway its like an odd vibration or resonance noise I cant explain in words but when pulling out it occurs between 1,500 and 1,700 rpm and stops if ai continue to accelerate. Now if I cruise in town at that speed ai can still hear it sometimes reaonating through the drivetrain. I dont notice or pay attention to it anymore because my other did the same thing and I guess its just because its not an overly refined 3 cylinder but is very reliable and durable. Do you think this is the sound yours is making?
