How long do the struts/shocks last?

I have 64K on my 2014 Mirage. My suspension is starting to feel worn, at least to me. How long do the shocks and struts typically last? Do I have front struts and rear shocks? I don't see any 3rd parties selling them.

    Thanks!

No one sells aftemarket suspension components for the Mirage and the stealership will charge you out the ying yang for OEM parts. Mine is at 60k and still ok but not as tight as when it was new.

Yaris rear shocks may work. Check this thread.

I just did the test where you push down on the hood and see if it bounces up and down. It seemed ok. So are we just crossing our fingers that somebody will start selling them before ours wears out?

The suspension on these looks super basic. I wonder if O'Reilly or AutoZone can cross the part numbers to something. I wonder what dealer charges for the replacements is bet not too bad.

How does $500+ sound for 2 struts and 2 shocks?!? Oh...and you have to install them at that price.

$500 bucks for what is essentially bottom of the barrel stuff. You can get coilovers for a few hundred more. I am sure if you were to include the factory springs in the cost, the coilovers would be cheaper.

I'm at 86k miles now, and the junk is so blown out that I crash off the bumpstops practically at all times... I hate it so much.

I found some shocks. Do the shocks normally wear out before or after the struts?

Here's another one. It has the front struts and rear shocks. Maybe the official Mitsubishi site? Seems like it's less than the dealer though.

Those are universal shocks, not a custom replacement for our cars. As of now there are no aftermarket companies making shocks or struts for our cars. Mine are getting mushy at 61k but I drive mostly city over cobblestones and potholes.
