    Re-painting my Mirage

    Hello!

Does anybody know how much it costs to re-paint my white 2015 mirage ES a different color? Would this be wise - like would it invalidate some of my warranty or something?

I generally don't like white cars. I was going to take it to Maaco for a quote. Unless you have better ideas...?

Honestly, it's probably cheaper and easier to just get a different color car. A factory level color change would require completely dismantling the car. I'm not sure how much they would charge to just paint over the exposed areas but the chances of Maaco paint being as good as the factory paint seems slim to me.

+1 You don't want any part of painting a car. Especially a relatively new car with paint that is perfectly fine. It takes THOUSANDS of dollars to duplicate the quality of a factory paint job. Maaco will paint your car for under $1,000...but it won't be a quality job, it won't last, and it will devalue your car. Unless your car is a worn out beater, just sell it an find a Mirage that is the color you like.

Look into getting it wrapped. You could get some cool crazy color, the results would be 1000x better than a Maaco job, and its completely reversible.

Either sell it or wrap it, don't paint the car if it doesn't.. Your car will be worthless when you repaint with < $1000 paint job...

Why you buy a white car if color is important to you? White is my favorite color,... I have a silver and I hate it too.. but I live with it because it is the only one I can find at the right price in that moment. I learn to live with it.

Sounds like you two should swap.

Nothing beats factory paint. Don't do it or you will regret it.

I love how Mirages are so cheap that if I don't like the color, I should just get another one. No one says that about Volvos, do they?

I can live with the white. I like the car otherwise. Maybe I can put some flame decals on it and be done with it!

Flames & "Turbo" decals and you're good to go! That's an extra 100 horsepower for sure!
