I don't think the Mirage driver was trying hard enough. Lol
    What do you guys/gals think?

I'd like to see a rematch with a 5-speed mirage.

Put some decent rear springs in it, and better tires, and maybe someone used to driving the mirage, and it would do better.

Yes, he don't follow the proper line and gone off track several times. I think mirage can do better and cut the 8s gap.

We just can't have a dirty old Mirage keeping up with a Mercedes. My 2015 with stiffer rear springs will take a corner pretty darned fast.

For the 'fast' driver you are right he had a poor line around the course.

More importantly, why do they have a baby seat in the front passenger seat? All infant safety seats - and vehicles - include warnings against this for the danger of injury or death due to airbag deployment. Something doesn't add up here.

CDC: Air-Bag Associated Fatal Injuries to Infants and Children Riding in Front Passenger Seats -- United States

I suppose if all the baby seats are props, that's one thing. The whole production comes across as a silly stunt anyway (someone came up with a *great* idea, did it, filmed it, posted it, and we watched it...)

    At least they wore helmets.

I bet the poor lines shown by the Mirage were there solely for the comedy factor.

Anybody with a racing background would have been trying his absolute darndest to beat that Merc.

That said, I wonder if he drove it in "B" or sport mode.
