    Fog Lamps Question

I got a set of factory fog lamps from a member here on the forum for a 2017 Mirage and wanted to ask a question about the switch and function. My 2017 Mirage ES did not come with fog lamps, but has the switch and wiring for them. I know I have to get the switch activated for them to work with that switch, but I want to know how they function.

The question I have is this. With the factory switch will the lamps function with just the parking lamps on or only with the headlights on? I have always put fog or driving lamps on my vehicles and wire them into the parking lights. When driving at dawn, dusk, or low light situations I prefer to run with parking lamps and fog lamps and then use headlamps for dark.

    Thanks

My 2014 can have fog lights on with parking lamps and headlights on. They cannot be on by themselves though. In ETACS decoder there is a type A and a type B option and I'm not sure what the difference is. I think mine are on type A. Type B may reveal a different function
