Recharging the A/C with refrigerant—where is the low-pressure valve?

I have a 2015 DE with about 43,000 miles, and the A/C has been refusing to blow it cold air. I want to check the refrigerant levels, but I opened the hood and couldn't seem to find the low-pressure valve. Is it underneath the engine cover? Any help would be much appreciated.

Nevermind, I found it. I didn't see it before because the cap was missing. I bought a cap at AutoZone (the only one they had), but it doesn't fit. Does anyome know of one that fits?

Hope you got the A/C resolved. Post the part # of the cap when you get it.

Caps for R134a should be standardized, but the one for the high side is different than the one for the low side. This is done for safety reasons to make it impossible to hook a refill fitting to the high side of the system. Be sure you got the right one.

However, these cars use a brand new type of refrigerant called R1234yf. This was phased into some cars starting in 2014, and the Mirage happens to be one of them. This may be why your new cap won't fit.

Honestly, I would get a replacement cap from the stealership or just get one from a wrecked Mirage.
