    Question Head Unit Recommendation

    Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum, but have owned my 2015 Mirage DE for about 6 months now.

I am looking to upgrade the stereo / infotainment system of the car (speakers, amp, bass coming later) and wanted to know if anyone is using an Android based head unit? My budget is about $150, which I know means off brand/Chinese stuff, but I am okay with that as long as it works okay.

I'd prefer any links from Amazon as I have a bunch of credit card rewards points. I did a search and am looking at this model: https://www.amazon.com/Boddenly-Andr...roid+head+unit

I wanted to get some feedback on it or see if you guys can recommend anything else. I already ordered the replacement bezel and wiring harness as well.... is there anything else I need to order to install the new head unit?

Hey Top_Fuel, I saw that thread before I posted. Those look great, but are kinda out of my price range.

MightyMirageMpg - That head unit looks awesome, but I'm looking for something that is Android based if possible... Thanks for the suggestion tho, hopefully it'll help someone else out.

I would upgrade the speakers first to improve the sound quality.

Upgrading the speakers is next, after the head unit. Then its a amp/sub, but not sure what I am going to get yet.

    Any recommendations on speakers?

Go with some nice alpine speakers. Clean sound. Stay away from pioneer as it may be a downgrade ha

But it all could just be a bunch of clickbait so they can collect on the ad revenue.

I found out that Pioneer has a series of speakers designed by Andrew Jones that gets high marks for what they cost.

I ended up ordering an ATOTO M4272 (17397/32G) Android head unit from Amazon. Its got some decent reviews and is at a decent enough price that if its not exactly what I am looking for, its not going to be a big deal. It also fits the Metra replacement surround without having to sand it down. I had about $50 in Amazon reward points, which made it more affordable.

I should be receiving it Friday and will install it this weekend.

Any link to the radio? It would help to read more about it.
